About the Role:

No prior experience in litigation support is required—just a strong interest in technology and a willingness to learn. An optimal candidate will also develop a strong understanding of and proficiency with the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), a vital framework for managing the e-discovery lifecycle in litigation.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing and organizing electronic discovery (e-discovery) processes, including data identification, preservation, collection, processing, review, and production.

Support the legal team by maintaining and troubleshooting litigation support tools and databases.

Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to ensure accurate and efficient handling of case-related data and documents.

Troubleshoot and resolve basic technology issues related to litigation support tools and systems.

Learn and effectively apply the principles of the EDRM to streamline e-discovery processes and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Continuously learn and adapt to new litigation support software and processes.

Qualifications:

  • A demonstrated passion for technology, with examples of tinkering, building, or experimenting with tech devices (e.g., building a computer, setting up a network, or repairing gadgets).
  • Basic familiarity with computer systems, software, and networking concepts.
  • A curious and inquisitive mindset, particularly when exploring new tools, software, or troubleshooting challenges.
  • Examples of hands-on problem-solving in technology-related scenarios, either personal or professional.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a willingness to dive into complex projects.

Preferred Skills (but not required):

  • Familiarity with file organization, databases, or document management systems.
  • An interest in learning specialized legal and litigation support technologies, such as Relativity or similar tools.
  • A desire to master the EDRM framework and apply it to real-world litigation support scenarios.

The salary wage range that we expect to pay for this position is from $50,000 - $60,000 and represents our good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of base salary at the time of posting. The actual salary offered may vary based on experience, qualifications or other relevant factors.
