Global Retailer Secures Denial of Class Certification in Wage & Hour Class Action
Represented a global retailer in a class action involving over 1,400 retail store employees. Plaintiff alleged that all of our client's retail employees were forced to work during their meal periods and had to undergo
off-the-clock security checks resulting in liability in excess of $10 million. On October 8th, 2021, the court denied plaintiff’s motion for class certification and agreed with our reasoning that common issues did not predominate among the class members, taking millions in liability off the table.
