Hyundai Successfully Resolves Consumer Class Action

Defended Hyundai in a class action involving alleged defects in certain year vehicles manufactured by Hyundai. The plaintiffs asserted claims for breach of warranty and violations of California’s Unfair Competition Law (UCL) and the Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA). We defeated class certification for the breach of warranty claims, and filed a summary judgment motion on the UCL and CLRA claims. We negotiated a favorable settlement while the summary judgment motion was pending. *
