Stradling Deepens Its Debt Finance Bench
July 2015
Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth, P.C. ("Stradling") announced today that debt finance attorney, Bjorn Lundberg, joins as counsel and will contribute to the expansion of the Firm's Debt Finance and Financial Services practice group. He will be based out of the Firm's Santa Monica office.
Prior to joining Stradling, Mr. Lundberg spent seven years practicing in the finance department of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in Los Angeles. Before moving to Los Angeles in 2008, Mr. Lundberg worked in the finance practice group of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in New York.
"Bjorn is a rock solid debt finance lawyer and is a great addition to our existing team. Given his extensive background in a broad range of finance matters, we're confident that he's going to keep the various constituencies we represent, including private equity firms, corporate borrowers, family offices, institutional investors and financing sources, very happy," says Dayan Rosen, Shareholder, and Chair of Stradling's Debt Finance and Financial Services practice.
Mr. Lundberg has broad debt finance experience, which includes representing private equity sponsors, their portfolio companies, institutional lenders and arrangers in connection with a diverse range of financing transactions in a variety of industries. His expertise includes, among other things, first and second lien financings, asset-based financings, dividend recapitalizations and acquisition financings.
"Stradling has an outstanding reputation. It is a well-established west coast firm with a top-tier client roster. I'm looking forward to working closely with Dayan and others to further complement the firm's strong institutional M&A practice and expand the firm's successful debt finance footprint even further," said Mr. Lundberg.
As one of the west coast's leading business law firms with more than 125 attorneys practicing in nine offices some of which include Santa Monica, San Francisco, Newport Beach, San Diego, Santa Barbara and Denver, Mr. Lundberg's debt finance and financial services practice is a natural fit for the Stradling platform.
He is the newest of 3 attorneys to join Stradling this month. Kristin Larson, whose practice focuses on environmental, health and safety risk evaluation, due diligence, compliance counseling, remediation and real estate/renewable energy joins as counsel after practicing at top-tier law firms in the region. Stephen White joins the Santa Barbara office where he will focus on mergers and acquisitions, financing, and joint ventures in areas such as emerging growth, healthcare, and computer security.
Stradling's clients include private equity firms (and their portfolio companies), institutional investors, family offices, financing sources, emerging and high growth public and private companies, and venture capital groups (and their portfolio companies). Widely recognized for its expertise and outstanding client service, the Firm's size, structure, and culture allow it to provide the highest quality representation while maintaining the responsiveness, relationships, and flexibility commonly associated with smaller firms.
