Represented Deckers Brands, a designer of casual and performance footwear, apparel, and accessories, in the sale of its Sanuk brand, known for its outdoor lifestyle footwear, to Canadian activewear company Lolë Brands. This acquisition is part of Lolë’s strategy to strengthen its position in the North American market, particularly in the U.S. where Sanuk has a well-established presence. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

Represented a multi-state healthcare provider in a wide ranging class action and PAGA case involving a potential liability approaching $50,000,000. We finalized an early settlement after a full day mediation for less than 6% of the client’s exposure.

Stradling represented a global retailer in a wage and hour class action involving over 500 distribution center employees. The plaintiff alleged that all of the employees’ wage statements did not properly reflect COVID-19 hazard pay and that their sick and vacation time was not paid at the correct rate. These claims resulted in liability in excess of $3.6 million. We finalized an early settlement after a full day mediation for significantly less than the client’s exposure.
