Trust & Estate Administration

Stradling’s attorneys have decades of experience advising on the administration of trusts and estates. We advise family members, professional trustees, and large banks and trust companies in each of their roles as executors, trustees, conservators, or beneficiaries. We often act in an executive function, or as a “quarterback” in these roles, ensuring that fiduciary duties and responsibilities are followed, that proper reporting to agencies occurs, that taxes are prepared and filed, appraisals are obtained and that division and new ownership of assets is properly reflected. Stradling handles administration activities that occur either with or without court supervision, depending on the  circumstances. Stradling either prepares federal estate tax returns directly, or oversees the preparation of these special tax filings by other members of the family’s advisory team.
